Noah and believe it or not Naomi is also in that leaf pile.
Oh look there they are.
There is also Nathanael helping in the leaves. When we get big piles of leaves the kids like to shovel them to the road. It works pretty good except now there is no getting out of shoveling snow. =)
But the proud Mommy moment came when we were raking and almost done with our lawn and Noah looked at me and asked if we could go and help the man across the street. He is an older man and has helped us w/ some shoveling and stuff in the past w/out us knowing. So Noah and Naomi went across the street to start helping him while Nathanael and I finished up our back yard and then we went over to join them. We raked part of the mans lawn for him and the kids really enjoyed it. We were very pleased that we could finally do something nice for someone else without them doing anything in return. It feels good to be able to do that. We would have done even more of his lawn but I knew Naarah would be waking up from her nap and Chris was not doing well so I thought we should finish up the section we were working on and get home to help him. Needless to say I was so VERY proud that my kids were willing to help out someone a little less able then us. It made me happy to help also. They never once asked me how much I was going to pay them or anything so that is even a prouder moment.
Now it is off to showers and getting ready for school. It will be nice that it is a short week this week. I am looking forward to spending some time with the kids. Uno has become our new favorite game to play as of today. That was all we did until raking time.
