Proud of Naomi

So we received a letter and invitation for Naomi to attend a People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

She was nominated by her guidance counselor at school because of her academic grades and also her leadership skills. Naomi was very excited about this and of coarse we were also.
What an honor to be able to get. However after receiving the packet and looking into the costs, we are not going to be able to let her go (not sure how I feel about my baby being in D.C. by herself anyway). It was 2300.00 for one week next summer. You have to have the deposit turned in by Nov. 29th and that alone was 300.00. Although we are very proud of our little girl we are also realistic in what we can and can't do. Naomi is sad because she thought this would be a great opportunity which we do also, you could see the wheels turning in her head to find out how she could get the money to go. She is so sweet. Maybe she will be nominated again in future years. So although she will not be able to go, we wanted to share our joy w/ all of you w/ such a great honor that Naomi received.

Halloween

This was at the bounce house at the Jack O Lantern Jamboree. It was Naarah's favorite.
Trick Or Treating. Naarah just started to make that face and it was so funny we got about 6 pictures before she stopped making the face and hasn't done it since. It was so funny and out of the blue.

Trick or Treating w/ our greatest friends.

The human hamster wheel. Noah is running in it. I was kind of far away but managed to get shot of him anyway.

Oct. 7th

Naomi opening her present from Miss Carla. She made some earings and Naomi loved them.
Naarah and Miss Carla being cool on Naomi's birthday
Naomi and Miss Carla being sassy. Miss Carla is one of Naomi's favorite people at our church. She just really likes visiting w/ her and so Carla was able to come to have dinner with us on Naomi's actual birthday. She had dinner, they had Wii challenges and some all around fun. It was by all means not a relaxing evening for Carla but she told me that she welcomed the different pace.

Naomi Turns 11

I took Naomi and a couple of her friends roller skating and then to Pizza Hut after. They had a great time. I loved it. Haven't been rollerskating in a long time and it was a lot of fun.
We got Naomi this earings and necklace for her birthday. It is Opal (her birthstone). She is growing up way to fast. But I thought it was time to let her have something nice like this. I always loved getting birthstone things when I was growing up.
Some books that she got. She got many books from us, a couple of gift cards, some money and a cool snuggie from one of her friends and also some cool girly clothes from her friend Tanner (who's mom shopped for her- she doesn't have any girls just 3 boys so she was so excited to shop for Naomi).

Noah Football

Noah is the #4- I will allow NO Brett Farve comments.
Noah is the one kicking the ball. I was very excited that he has gotten to be kicker at almost all the games. He has done a great job kicking the ball also. Watch out Ryan Longwell here comes Noah Hionis.
