Great America

Yesterday our family took a day trip to Great America. Naomi had gotten a free ticket from reading in school and Nathanael was still free so we thought we would go. It is one of the most fun times we have had together recently as a family. The weather was perfect, there were no lines and no fighting amongst anyone. Nothing and no one got lost. It was awesome. The kids could not get enough. We did a lot of stuff in one day. Naomi's favorite rides were: East River Crawler, Condor, flying swings and Wiggle's World. Noah: Wizzer, East River Crawler, scrambler (Fun Machine), Noah really enjoyed the time we spent at Hurricane Harbor. We took the kids to Skull Island at HH and Noah could ride on all the waterslides there. It was an amazing place for the kids. There are many other things there also but SI was geared toward kids. Nathanael: He liked the wiggle's cars, loved the Wizzer, tea cups, East River Crawler, and also he liked a ride that was like a ferris wheel however it was like hot air balloons, it didn't go as high as a normal ferris wheel. It was fun to watch all the kids because rides you think they might be scared of they really like a lot. So below are some pictures of our awesome day yesterday. We did and saw many things. Spent about 2 hours at HH waterpark but I didnt' want to ruin the camera or risk getting it stolen so I left it in the locker. I wish I could have had some pictures of Noah and Nathanael down some of those water slides the loved them. The kids asked when we could come back. So we will probably be making a family outing once year or every couple of years.

Even after the Superman trauma we did manage to get Daddy on a couple of adult fast rides. This happens to be one of them. It is called King Chaos. We went on last year when Chris and I went alone and it was pretty amazing.

These were a couple of Naomi's favorite rides. The purple is the East River Crawler and then the swings. She really enjoyed both and kept asking all day to go on them again.

Here are a few more picture of the kids together. They had such a great time. There were a lot of kid area's. The one where the kids are standing by the fence is when we first got there and wanted to let Daddy ride on the Superman Ride. We were waiting for him to see him and right when he got up to the platform, the ride broke and they weren't sure how long it would be to fix so Daddy gave up his favorite ride to hang with the kids.

Here are a few pictures of the kids at Wiggle's World in Great America. Noah and Nathanael rode on the cars about 5 times and Naomi ended up on the tea cups about 5 times. They really enjoyed Wiggle's World. There was a lot for the kids and the adults could also ride if needed. The ride with the 3 of them sitting in a row is like an extra small Giant Drop for the kids. It was pretty cute. They loved it.

This is the best picture I could get of Naomi and Chris on the Orbit. At first Noah wanted to go and Naomi wanted to watch then when Noah saw what the ride did, he got scared and Naomi thought it would be cool. So Chris took Naomi. She really liked it.

Here are the kids enjoying their first miniature golf game. Nathanael just couldn't get the handle of holding the golf club the right way. I kept showing him and he kept turning it backward, so I just let him golf however he wanted. There was only a couple of fights along the way. All and All it went pretty good. And they still had fun.

Here they are actually dying them. Nathanael loved it. He did not want my help at all. It was pretty cute.
Nathanael's shirt is like a jammie shirt though since the smallest size they had was a 6 =). He will be able to wear that for the next 3 years.

Here are the kids coloring their t-shirts getting ready to ty-dye. Nathanael is not coloring at this time he is just sitting with Naomi because I had to help him color his t-shirt.

This was our first night at the campground. The kids got to meet Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy Bears. Nathanael did not want to have anything to do with Yogi, he was very scared but he LOVED Boo Boo. He is a little closer to Nathanael's height. he he he!!!

Here is our fireworks. A friend of ours gave us some sparklers and some of the popper things that you throw on the ground and they make a little bang. So instead of keeping the kids out all night at the fireworks we went outside for a little bit and did the sparklers and poppers and everyone was in bed by 9:30pm. It was wonderful. The picture of all three of the kids isn't the best but I was trying really hard to get them all at the same time with their sparklers going. It didn't work to well.

Chris got some plants for the house and he has his little helpers getting them into the pots. They had fun.
Kids love dirt and getting messy so this was right up their alley.
